I hope you had a good week and are enjoying the last few weeks of summer to the fullest! Usually around this time I’m starting to get into my spooky season activities, but I’ve just really been enjoying summer this year and I’m not ready for it to end yet.
What I’ve been working on
I recently found an antique Sessions mantle clock that’s over a century old for super cheap and was able to fix it up and get it working again. I had no idea what I was doing but followed Christine McConnell’s Patreon video about antique clocks as a guide. Now I think I’m really into antique clocks 😆 There’s just something about the constant background ticking and the resounding chime that goes off every hour that instantly makes the house feel 10x more spooky and cozy. I love it.
What I’m listening to
Ethel Cain’s Preacher’s Daughter is one of my favorite albums of all time, and she just released the prequel Willoughby Tucker, I'll Always Love You. It’s cinematic and emotionally devastating, as to be expected. I’m currently in the processes of figuring out the lore which is is the most fun part about her work.
What I loved this week
I’m a huge fan of both The Beheaded and Blackwood Castle, and I cannot describe how much I need their new Isabella dress, and how badly I need to wear it with the Everyday Bruja hat and then walk through a field of lavender. This is the summer vibe I crave.
Someone recreated this iconic scene from AMC’s Interview with the Vampire in Animal Crossing and it made me laugh way harder than it should have 😂

My new favorite trinket is this Midsommar Polly Pocket bag charm I picked up from Honey Hearted. It’s the perfect subtle spooky summer accessory. The May Queen carriage moves, too! So cute 🐻
