I hope you had a wonderful, restful holiday season! We are finally in the new year and back to our regularly scheduled programming.

What I’ve been working on

This time of year, once the holidays are over, I try to take a lot of time to intentionally rest (like binging Gilmore Girls) and do some grounding and goal setting work. I don’t make resolutions, but instead I set attainable goals of things I want to do or projects I want to work on. I also do other exercises to set my vision and attitude for the upcoming year. For 2026, I created a vision board using the Collage feature on Pinterest of how I want my personal expression to look this year, featuring outfits and styling I am aiming for mixed with a lot of things I already have and love. Again, the goal is to keep this all very attainable and grounded, making sure I’m not trying to Resolution too close to the sun into a version of myself I can’t attain or afford. Being realistic is key!

Additionally, I printed this vision board and designed a page for it in my Hobonichi weeks planner so it’s always at hand to look at when I need inspiration or visual guidance. I also wrote down my list of goals and projects in my planner so they are easily accessible and top of mind, and can be checked off easily as I accomplish them.

I’ve been doing a lot of other prep work in my planner as well. In December I tried out a photo of the day layout for the monthly view and really liked how it turned out, it’s a cute way to see an overview of everything I experienced in a month. I would like to continue this layout so I designed the January spread and plan to add photos to each day as the month progresses.

I’m sure I will have more to share about how the planner system is going as the year progresses!

What I watched

I received my 2025 Letterboxd year in film, and while it was super interesting to see, none of it was surprising at all. I guess maybe having Ralph Ineson be my most watched actor was surprising, but then when I thought about how much I watched Nosferatu last year, paired with the fact that this guy has been WORKING and showed up in everything from Frankenstein to Fantastic 4, it tracks.
